The presence of religion is increasing at U.S. universities. But why? In general, religious fundamentalism is increasing around the world because of globalization and Western decadence (see here as well), so that partly explains the phenomenon. However, as religion’s influence on global affairs increases, so does the need for people who understand religion (whether they believe it or not). That’s where college comes in.
