After living in Boston for nearly ten years, I became used to jaywalking. I did it all of the time, and so did everyone else. Nearly all Israelis, however, wait for the light to change, and they cross only at the designated locations. Israelis always seem to be in a hurry, so this adherence to a commonly-ignored law is surprising.
