God’s Warriors

In a lengthy, prior post, I posited the theory that there is indeed a “clash of civilizations” occurring in the world between Skeptics and True Believers. The latter category is an umbrella term for fundamentalists within any political or religious philosophy.

Sadly, the number of True Believers is growing. In case you thought that the increasing popularity of fundamentalism is not a big deal, I invite you to watch Christian Amanpour’s recent, three-part series on CNN on extremist Jews, Christians and Muslims. It’s an eye-opener. The first segments of each part — fundamentalist Judaism is first, followed by Islam and Christianity — are below.

Elsewhere: Jonathan Tobin writes that this CNN series unfairly equated extremist Jews and Christians with extremist Muslims, whom he says pose a greater threat than the first two groups. Andrea Levin says the story on God’s “Jewish Warriors” was biased and inaccurate.
