[In addi­tion to my com­ments on the Torah por­tions and my excerpts from the new trans­la­tion of the Zohar, I will fre­quently post bits of Jew­ish law from the Shulchan Aruch that I find interesting.]

Dur­ing the Ten Days of Repen­tance between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kip­pur, “you must set right the wrongs you have com­mit­ted against your fel­low man, for which there is no atone­ment unless you com­pen­sate him for any stolen arti­cles or with­held funds funds in your pos­ses­sion, and patch things up and pla­cate him so that he will for­give you.” (Ch. 130, Pt. 1)
