Sin­clair Lewis once said, ““When fas­cism comes to Amer­ica it will be wrapped in the flag and car­ry­ing a cross.”

In Texas, fol­low­ers of Pat Robert­son have brought that fas­cism to the pub­lic schools and are putting down roots.

Back in the 1800s, Catholics cre­ated their own schools to get away from the main­stream Protes­tantism they felt was being taught in the pub­lic schools and the anti-Catholic bias ram­pant in our young country.

Now, it seems, those of us that believe in a pub­lic edu­ca­tion free from evan­gel­i­cal Christianity’s ide­o­log­i­cal sway may have to fol­low suit.
